New Vikas Tractor Operated Chaff Cutter Machine

A Chaff cutter is a mechanical device for cutting straw or hay into small pieces before being mixed together with other forage and fed to cows and cattle. This aids the animal’s digestion and prevents animals from rejecting any of their food.

Power operated chaff cutter consists of a large and heavy fly wheel mounted on a shaft which is fitted on the main frame in the covered drum. Four flat blades are fitted on the fly wheel and also four fan blades are fitted on fly wheel to blow out the chopped fodder from the drum. When the fly wheel rotates the fodder or crop is chopped by the blades which comes through the conveyor type feeding chute in compressed form by Four feed rollers, one of them is spring loaded, the feeding head compressed the fodder.

Compressed fodder feed to cutting head by toothed rollers. Shear plate of head is helps in chopping the fodder. Feeding chute is provided for feeding the crop by hand. Chaff Cutter is also fitted with reverse & forward gear box which is driven by the chain and sprockets , one is fitted on the main shaft & another is fitted on the Gear shaft and gear drives the feed rollers of cutting head. Reverse gear provides safety to operator.
