There are different types of Agri implements used to prepare the soil before seeding. The disc plough is one of the types of these implements. This disc plough can be used in any soil including sandy, loamy, sticky.
This disc plough is firstly installed with the given 26inch discs, which are mounted on hubs (bearing housing). These hubs are fitted with the main frame of disc plough. Now this installed disc plough is attached with the tractor with three-point linkages using pins. Now the disc plough is ready to be used in the farm.
While transportation, the New Vikas Disc Plough is raised above ground level using lift of the tractor. When it is about to begin the farm operation, then lift is lowered to the surface and tractor starts moving in the forward direction. The two bottom reversible disc ploughs are most widely accepted model. The efficiency of reversible or automatic disc plough is more than plain disc plough owing to its ability to change the discs direction automatically while turning at one end of the row. Thus it also saves the time and diesel consumption of the tractor.
The two bottom plain disc plough is used at the places where the landform is not uniform and the roots are more in the field. Apart from it if the land is not cultivated for the years or only one crop is taken in the year then also this disc plough can become the best option for the land preparation. This disc plough is the prime disc plough with rigid structure and less complications.
It has one tubular main frame of six inches diameter. The discs are mounted on the lower frame. The rear portion of the disc plough is fitted with the colter assembly to assist and balance the disc plough while operation on the field. This colter assembly consists of a complex yet rigid parts using thick metal plate fitted with colter.
The three bottom plain disc plough has the long tubular structure with three discs housings. The main frame is bent from middle portion. The main frame is made in such a way that provides the option of two plus one discs, as the two parts are joined using a heavy joint made of cast iron with unique design. Thus, strengthening the main structure to perform well in the field.
The three bottom reversible disc plough is designed in a way that makes it a best choice for tractors with hp more than forty. This can plough the land in a shorter time than other disc plough models.
Then New Vikas model of this type is a very compact implement that is manufactured with the motto of providing good mileage of tractor while using it on the field. The colter is well pressed while operation using high carbon spring used on the main frame. The discs used can adjust their distances using the bolts given on the frame. The distances between the discs are adjusted depending on the soil types whether wet or dry.
